NOT and NEVER Move to Canada: Top 8 Scary Reasons

RUSH HOUR NEWS

Why move to Canada? Low pay and insane taxes, $10 loaf of bread $8 apples and $8 eggs, male teachers wearing giant fake bazooms, horrible weather, scandal plagued government, one in every 7 Canadians is living in poverty. Canada has it all and more!

THE WEATHER
If you have romantic visions of softly falling snow and warm cider, that’s not how it works in most of Canada. Canadian snow and wind can create massive drifts that can completely cover your car and take hours to move. Ice storms are a thing, and power can go out for days at a time.
The weather in most of the country is cold, icy, and dreary for more than half of the year. And if you think “No problem, I will just hire someone to shovel or do my driveway,” think again because finding workers to do anything is often impossible. Depending on where you live, you may have to do everything yourself, including pest control, plumbing, electrical, and snow removal.
VERY LIBERAL
Canada is very Liberal, and if you come from a religious or conservative country, you will likely find it hard to adjust. Liberalism was a great strength in Canada for many years, but in its extreme forms, it can create division in societies. Recently A Canadian teacher, a biological male who identifies as female, decided to wear giant prosthetic breasts and short shorts to teach her shop class. The school board supported this behavior as they claimed not to discriminate against anyone. Kids and parents protesting have to suffer this person living out their fetish because Canada and the schools are so ultra-liberal that everything and anything is accepted.
In many schools it has become uncool to be straight, and some parents are concerned children are being taught at too young an age about sex and transgender issues. The same things you hear about in the USA happen here, even to a greater extent, but because the media is primarily left-leaning you don’t hear about it. If you come from a conservative country with conservative or religious values, Canada might sometimes feel overly liberal and frustrating. Young men I have spoken to who moved to major cities in Canada suggested that many of the single women seemed superficial and angry and they moved home because of the unfriendliness of Canada. This was the opposite 20 years ago.
COST OF LIVING
Cost of Living. Everything is outrageously expensive in Canada and wages are generally much lower than the USA. If you move to the West Coast, a pretty average house in Vancouver BC, not even renovated, is listed at 2.3 million dollars. With $300,000 down, your monthly payments at current rates would be $13,354.41. Will you be earning enough to pay that if you move to Canada? Unlikely.
The East Coast of Canada is cheaper, but no longer as cheap as it was in fact, housing prices have tripled in some areas. For groceries, you can easily pay $10 for one small loaf of gluten free bread, $11 for a small 3-pound bag of apples and free-range eggs will set you back $7.49 a dozen.
Owning a cellphone is ridiculous a recent report showed Canada for a 4G cellphone plan with at least 100 gigabytes of mobile data per month was the highest in the world at $144. in Israel that same service would be $10.
Short Flights anywhere in Canada cost hundreds of dollars, and shipping anything, even a small package costs a fortune. If you want to start a business that ships goods remember that shipping can break you as it is much more expensive than other places around the world.
POVERTY AND WAGES IN CANADA
Many Canadians have left Canada for the US to make more money. There are hundreds of online comments from immigrants who can’t believe how low the pay is and wished they had known before moving.
Many Canadians and new immigrants are working 2-3 jobs to make ends meet. The government cheerfully takes your taxes and sends billions to other countries while 1 in 7 (or 4.9 million) people in Canada live in poverty. Precarious employment has increased by nearly 50% over the past two decades. Over the past 25 years, Canada’s population has increased by 30% yet annual national investment in housing has decreased by 46%
TAXES
Speaking of taxes – taxes in Canada are beyond ridiculous. The total tax bill of the average Canadian family has increased by 1,624% since 1961 The argument was always our health care and roads were so good it was worth it. They no longer are. There is a 3 year waiting list to see a family doctor where I live. Referral waiting times from general practitioner to specialist range from 20 weeks to over one year. If you visit a hospital Emergency room in Quebec, there is a 50% chance you will wait at least 4 hours.
